John is REPS registered, fully insured and all of his methods are based on scientifically proven principles which are adapted to suit your individual needs. His skill is getting the best out of you to help you achieve amazing results; whether that’s Tough Mudder, road bike races, IRONMAN… or anything in between.
John is a three times IRONMAN finisher: Austria, New Zealand and Lake Placid (USA). John complted his first Utra Marathon in October 2017 finishing the 50 mile Lakes in a Day race which included 12,000ft of climbing over the Lake District peaks. He loves multi sport adventure races, mountain bike races, marathon and triathlon.

Paul has 30 years of triathlon experience – racing since he was 12 years old including 7 Ironman Races (3x IM South Africa, 3x IM Oz & 1x IM Western OZ) pb 10:06 with IM marathon pb at 3:30 and 40+ IM 70.3 pb 4:32 – Favourite race is Aberfeldy and Paul is looking forward to racing again this year.

John is just the best PT ever! Hugely motivating, inspiring and great fun to be with. He taught me so many simple exercises that don’t need any fancy equipment which I can do at home or in the garden when the sun shines. John and I meet once a week and do our session outside down at the beach. I love it. I cannot recommend Silent Wolf highly enough, I feel very lucky to have won this competition and it has allowed to me see that having a personal trainer and nutritionist isn’t just for top athletes aiming for sub 2 hour half marathons and triathletes covering multiple disciplines. If you want to aim for that then great! The advice, support and words of wisdom I received from Silent Wolf were invaluable to me when training for my first triathlon; a sport that is very daunting for beginners. Silent wolf are an excellent fitness team. John coached me to a six minute PB in the Berlin half marathon and got me through the rigours of my first marathon. John is easy to work with and is good company. His training plans are focused and well organised and he makes it easier to prepare for and succeed at big events. He cares about what he is doing and has good technical knowledge. Grace is a very good nutritionist. She has a realistic common sense approach avoiding extreme or fad diets. Grace knows how to introduce small but important changes and doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel with a crazy diet. As an athlete herself she knows what works. Again her technical knowledge is sound and she gave me plenty of encouragement to get into shape.- Niall

The psychological boost and mental lessons were as valuable, if not more important, than the technical stuff. The relaxed 'one to one' motivational chat played back in my head leading up to the event and kept me strong and focused. The lessons I learnt from the 'coping' strategy were crucial. All in all I would recommend the course to anyone, especially the fittest, that may not have tested their mental strength as much as their body strength.- Suzanne Mclean
